Lightning® XB9SXThe urban streetfighter is loaded with rugged style. Powered by a 984 cc Thunderstorm® air/oil/fan cooled, fuel-injected 45° V-Twin; you’ll be ready for anything the city throws your way.
Translucid
Talk about a naked bike, the airbox cover and flyscreen are see-through. Still unique in the motorcycle world, the Lightning® CityX is available in two translucent colors. Who says you have to twist the throttle to blow people away at a stoplight?
X-Guard
When you’re out carving up the urban jungle, you may need to stuff a tank bag with extra gear. This built-in beauty helps protect the airbox cover from that extra thrashing.
Handlebars
The Supermotard-inspired black handlebars are wide, flat and great for rider input.
Gauges
When you need a little mood lighting to set the tone for a wild night out on the town, the blue glow faces are just right. The dash features:
- speedometer
- tachometer
- odometer
- two tripmeters
- reserve tripmeter
- clock
- low fuel light
- engine check light
- oil pressure warning light
- indicator for high beam
- turn signals and neutral light
For 2008, a commemorative Buell 25th Anniversary graphic with Erik Buell’s signature is placed on the upper triple clamp.
Wheels
You don’t put hubcaps on a hot rod. Hero Blue Translucent or Designer Black Powdercoat wheels make the Lightning® CityX all go and all show.
Seat
Sitting up high in the Skyline seat, you can plan your attack through the urban terrain and peer over all those pesky cagers.
Durability Features
The frame pucks, headlight grille and handlebar deflectors offer protection from anything the road throws your way.

This bike looks like I want it.. Now that I own one Buell I want another for my motorcycle collection.. I just love the simple pervasive look of this one like you could customize it a little and completely have it your way as now you have a really cool bike. Buell rocks, thanks Milwaukee, Kansas City or wherever. Phil

Hi,
that what you have described, is a typical Buell.. first you see it, you don’t like it, then you see it again - you love it!!
I love Buell 2, so i know what are you saying.
