First seen in early 2000, the F650GS is an update of the F650 Funduro. Like the Funduro, it has a dual sport-road/off-road design, with a new steel-tube frame and revised engine. A new engine management system reduces pollution and improves smootheness. The bodywork is also new, an incorporates an underseat fuel tank, lowering the centre of gravity. Long-travel suspension soaks up the worst of road bumps and allows a degree of off-road use, while a touhg bashplate protects the bottom of the engine. The single disc brakes front and rear are Brembo units, and there is an optonal ABS anti lock system. There is a centerstand and clock, while the twin underseat silencers are stainless steel for long life.
